I have been so bad about keeping this pregnancy updated with my weekly posts. I guess that's what happens when you have a toddler to care for the second time around!
Here's the belleh at 17w1d.
 |
scarf: Ralph Lauren
tank and top: Motherhood
skinny jeans: Motherhood
boots: Old Navy |
How far along? 17w3d.
Weight gain/loss? 139.5 lb, so half a pound. I'm surprised I haven't gained yet with all the ice cream I've been eating.
Maternity clothes? I'm pretty much completely in maternity now. I love my maternity skinny jeans I have on in the pic above. No more shoving fat jeans into boots!
Stretchies? no new ones.
Sleep? pretty good. Just up twice a night to pee and drink water.
Breastfeeding? James is officially "dry nursing" or getting some colostrum. But for all nutritive purposes, he is fully on cow's milk. Just this week, breastfeeding has become painful. The latch burns and just about makes me cry. So that's just great. ::note sarcasm::
Best moment this week? Buying all the supplies needed to start making my own cloth diapers!
Movement? YES! Lots of kicks and pokes! I can now feel baby from the outside with my hand!
Food cravings? I really like that Baja salad from Wendy's. <--- still this. Had one last night for dinner. I have slowed down a bit on the orange juice consumption. I've been eating alot of Ben and Jerry's but really, no true cravings right now. I'm definitely eating healthier this pregnancy.
Gender? maybe a girl? maybe a boy? no clue. Sometimes I think it's a girl because how different this pregnancy has been, but mostly because I want to make girly diapers ;) I will be completely thrilled and shocked either way.
Labor signs? none.
Belly button in or out? getting shallower.
What I miss? not much, feeling pretty good right now!
What I am looking forward to? anatomy scan in two weeks!
Weekly wisdom? Apparently my body is dependent on the 2 mg of Zofran I am still taking (that's a quarter of the pill). The one day I tried without it, I was puking again.
Milestones? Feeling the baby from the outside!
You look ADORABLE! I'm so excited/nervous to be pregnant again! For now, I'll live vicariously through you!
You look marvelous! Which skinny jeans did you get from Motherhood? I need to get some asap, but always like recommendations first.
You are so adorable! I'm sorry that nursing isn't going so well :(
M- I'm determined to make it work. Boobs of steel.
Jennifer- These jeans have rhinestone applique on the back pocket. I got them as a Christmas gift but it's just Motherhood. You should be able to find them easily! I'll see if I can find a link.
It's these: http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=902320443&MasterCategory_Id=MC6
Good luck making the cloth dipes! I love that JoAnn's has a whole section set up for this now!
You MUST MUST MUST do a post when you make some diapers! I am almost 8 weeks and I just bought 8 newborn diapers because I am insane (but they were part of a co-op and you couldn't beat the prices). I haven't even told hubby how much those cost...it really doesn't make sense to spend a ton on newborn diapers, and I'm going to have the little one where big brother's one size diapers when he/she fits.
You look great!! I've been stalking your blog comparing my pregnancy to yours as soon as I peed on the stick. My 18 month old is still nursing...but I still have let downs, so we will see!
Congrats Callie! That is great that you are still bfing through pregnancy too!
Oh girl you KNOW I will post if I make anything halfway presentable ;) I have all my fabric and just waiting on a few supplies. I am in WAY over my head, but super motivated bc like you said, NB CD are $$$$ and they grow out of them in like 5 minutes.
You look do cute!
You look too cute! Love that little bump!
I would be so interested if you wrote a post on nursing during pregnancy and your experience. Are you going to push through the pain and try to tandem nurse? How does James fare with the changes?
You look ADORABLE!!! I love it! I've missed your (virtual) face!
And are you for realz gonna make diapers?!??!? Are you that handy with a sewing machine. I am so jealous. We need to live closer.
you look so cute!!
Thank you ladies! You are all too sweet!
Holly, I am planning on keeping on and seeing how far we can go. I don't know if we will tandem nurse but I know I won't wean him if he is still nursing at 8 months pregnant. Boob is in his court, so to speak!
Libs, um no, I am not that handy, but I am damn sure going to try!
Look how cute you are! The end of my pregnancy felt like a race... would my belly button pop or would I give birth? It never popped, but it got close.
Do you think J is going to stop trying to nurse soon since he's not getting anything? Will you reach a point where the pain will cause you to try and discourage him?

Etta, I nurse him before nap and night for sure but other times it's "he doesn't ask, I don't offer." For now, I'm pushing through the pain. I want him to be bf for 18-24 mo. I'm almost to 18 months. I dont think he wants to wean completely yet. He still asks sometimes. I might tandem, I might not. I'll just have to reevaluate as I get closer to delivery.
Congrats! Love this post! It's linky party time again on my blog! I hope you can join! Here is the link! Your friends are welcome too! http://www.thesouthernproductqueen.com/one-stop-shoppe-linky-party-2

The best way to keep track of your health is by scheduling an appointment with with your medical doctor regularly.
